| The Little Falls Historical Society is conducting a trip to Slovakia and the Czech Republic to learn about the cultures that link our cities together. Myjava is a small town located in the Trenčín Region of Slovakia. It's approximately 68 miles north east of Slovakia's capital city, Bratislava. Toward the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th centuries, more than 1000 people from the region made their way to Little Falls, NY. It is said, the first immigrant to the City actually intended to go to Little Falls, New Jersey. Prague is the capital and largest city of the Czech Republic. |
